Right now, as you read this, boats are cutting through the waves of the Mediterranean.
They’re not cruise ships or cargo vessels.
They’re small flotillas. Fragile, determined, carrying men and women who know they may never return home.
They left their families with a kiss, not a promise.
Because they couldn’t promise they’d be safe.
And still, they sailed.
Why?
Because Gaza is starving.
Because babies are dying with empty stomachs.
Because silence is complicity and they refused to stay silent.
Since 2008, 38 flotillas have tried to break the siege on Gaza. Only 5 have made it through.
The rest were stopped. Intercepted.
Their passengers jailed, beaten, silenced.
But still, they keep going.
Right now, you can see them on a live map. Tiny dots moving slowly across a vast sea.
But those dots aren’t just boats.
They are beating hearts.
They are people who chose courage over comfort.
When you track their path, you’re not watching vessels drift.
You’re watching hope fight to stay alive.
You’re watching resistance move, inch by inch, against the tide.
And if even one boat makes it through. IF EVEN ONE.
Then Gaza is reminded: You are not forgotten.
Israel wants the world to look away.
To let the siege tighten until Gaza suffocates.
But every mile these boats cross is a mile of defiance.
We can’t be on those boats.
But we can carry their story.
We can amplify their courage.
We can show Gaza that while the sea tries to keep them trapped, the world is still watching.
Track them here:
Pray for them. Share their journey. Hold your breath with them.
Because tonight, hope is sailing across the sea.
With you in hope and defiance,
Hafsa
