This month, 2.38 billion people are choosing to be hungry.
They're moving through long days with empty stomachs and dry mouths, holding onto one thing: the moment it ends. The table. The water. The exhale. The particular mercy of a fast that breaks.
That mercy is what makes it holy. The hunger is bearable because the ending is certain. You fast knowing relief is coming. You wait knowing the wait has a limit.
Gaza is fasting with no such knowing.
The same dry mouth. The same hollow stomach. The same long afternoon. But no table being set. No water waiting. Parents watching children ask for something to drink and having nothing. Nothing to give them.
This month, as the rest of the world counts down to the moment the fast lifts, Gaza has no moment to count down to.
Just hunger. Followed by more hunger. Just thirst. Met with more thirst.
And for too many, the fast doesn't end with water. It ends with death.
I don't know how to sit with that. I'm not sure we're supposed to sit with it comfortably.
But I want to show you something.

Gaza Aid Delivery - 1000 Meals Delivered Everyday - February 2026
This February, we are there. Every single day, 1,000 hot meals and clean water, delivered inside Gaza. Not when conditions allowed. Every day.
The photos are attached.
Look at them. Not because they're dramatic because these are the lives your generosity has been transforming.
This is what it looks like when someone who had stopped expecting anything receives something. Look at the hands. Look at the children. Look at what you did.
That happened because of you. A real plate of food. A real person. A real day when the ending finally came.
We are still there. Every single day of this month, 1,000 meals and clean water are moving into Gaza.
Because we refuse to let this be a month like every other month for them.
If you are fasting this month and you feel the weight of what you have that they don't, that feeling is not useless. It is pointing you somewhere.
This is where it goes.
You cannot give Gaza back everything that has been taken. But you can be the moment the fast breaks for someone tonight. You can be the table. You can be the ending they couldn't count on.
That is not a small thing. That is everything.
You cannot give Gaza back what has been taken from it. But you can be the reason the fast breaks with food and water tonight. Not with death. With life.
With love, hope and with every meal we deliver tomorrow,
Hafsa
