Fridays have always felt different.

For some, it is a day of prayer.

For others, a day of rest.

For me, it has always been a day to pause, to reflect, to breathe.

But when I think of Gaza, I cannot pause.

Because while we gather in safety, mothers there are holding their children, counting ribs instead of blessings.

Because while we sit down to meals, children there are too weak to ask for food.

Because in Gaza, silence has replaced laughter.

It is not a peaceful silence.

It is the sound of hunger stealing voices.

It is the sound of mothers whispering prayers no one should have to whisper.

It is the sound of futures slipping away before they even begin.

I find myself asking, what does my Friday really mean if I stay quiet about this?

Fridays are meant for giving. For gratitude. For mercy.

And that is something every faith, every heart, understands.

So today, I want to use my Friday to break the silence.

To turn a prayer into action.

To make sure that a child in Gaza does not fall asleep hungry again.

You can do the same.

Your gift can place food in trembling hands.

Your gift can bring comfort to a mother who feels forgotten.

Your gift can be the difference between silence and life.

This Friday, let us not look away.

Let us listen to Gaza’s silence and answer it with love.

Because when we give, we prove that the world has not turned its back.

Not yet. Not today.

Will you join me in giving this Friday?

With my Friday given to Gaza,
Hafsa
