Where I live, it’s cold. Gloomy.
The kind of cold that makes you turn the heater up and pull on your coziest sweater. I sip hot drinks, trying to warm up, in the quiet moments between everything else.
This time of year used to be my favourite.
I’d curl up with a good book, try new recipes, and scroll through TikTok. A time to relax, breathe, and enjoy life’s simple comforts.
But now, when I open my phone, I see something different.
I see the heartbreaking reality of Gaza, and it stops me dead in my tracks.
I see a baby, frozen to death.
I see what the cold does to a child with nothing to protect them.
Every time I slip into my warm sweater, I can’t help but think of the children in Gaza who have no warmth.
No shelter. Just plastic tents that don’t protect them. The cold creeping into their tiny bodies, their little hands shaking with hunger and exposure.
When I sit down to a warm meal, it hits me. Food is a luxury in Gaza. Here, we throw away leftovers. But in Gaza, children are lucky to eat scraps.
Even in this heartbreaking reality, we keep going.
We don’t stop.
This January, we’ve delivered 1,000 hot meals every single day in Gaza.
Meals that provide warmth and relief to children who are freezing. These aren’t just meals; they’re lifelines. Moments where children can feel warmth, comfort, and hope.

Gaza Kitchen - January Aid Delivery - 1000 Meals Every Day
But the truth is, this isn’t enough.
Every day, the need grows. Children still freeze in the cold. Still go to bed hungry. Still wait for help that can’t come fast enough.
For just £30, you can provide 10 hot meals for children who have been without warmth for weeks. 10 moments of peace. 10 moments of relief.
Imagine the difference you can make in their lives: A moment to stop shivering. A moment to feel safe again.
Thanks to you, we’re delivering 1,000 meals every day in Gaza. But we need your help to keep this going. I’ve attached photos so you can see the impact you’re making. Your generosity is changing lives. Bringing warmth, hope, and life-saving food to those who need it most.
This Friday, I’m asking you to help us deliver more. Help us reach more children. Make sure that tomorrow, 1,000 more children will feel warmth instead of the cold.
Give today, and ensure that no child in Gaza faces another night freezing, hungry, and forgotten.
You are the reason we can keep fighting. You are the reason those children will have food tomorrow.
Thank you for refusing to look away. For choosing not to let them be forgotten.
With warmth and determination,
Hafsa
